SUMMARY
When Rossville Rehabilitation & Health Center, a skilled nursing care and rehabilitation provider, began experiencing issues with its rooftop HVAC equipment, it sought a mechanical partner that could provide honest recommendations, competitive pricing, dependable resources, and clear communication. ServiceX M.E.P., A Fidelity Company, was brought in to evaluate the facility’s five existing rooftop units (RTUs) and develop a reliable, cost-effective replacement strategy.
ServiceX M.E.P. assessed each unit individually, identifying appropriate replacement equipment while looking for opportunities to reuse viable existing infrastructure and avoid unnecessary costs. The resulting plan called for the replacement of all five RTUs, with the work coordinated around the needs of an occupied healthcare facility. From equipment selection and crane logistics to rooftop modifications, startup, and commissioning, the team worked to minimize downtime and disruption for residents and staff.
RESULTS
ServiceX M.E.P. replaced five packaged rooftop HVAC systems, installing two 10-ton AAON units, one 10-ton Carrier unit, one 12.5-ton York unit, and one 5-ton York unit. The project also included required curb and ductwork modifications, gas and electrical reconnections, condensate connections, startup, commissioning, and coordination of available Baltimore Gas and Electric (BGE) energy-efficiency rebates.
By evaluating each system individually and reusing existing infrastructure where practical, ServiceX M.E.P. provided Rossville with modern, serviceable equipment while keeping the project focused on the facility’s actual needs. Careful scheduling and communication allowed the replacements to be completed with minimal disruption to the occupied healthcare environment, giving Rossville a dependable HVAC solution and a mechanical partner equipped to support its ongoing needs.
